Liverpool vs Manchester City Betting Tips

Liverpool vs Manchester,The biggest match of the English Premier League is on Sunday 10th November when Liverpool hosts Manchester City at Anfield.

Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 18 home matches against Manchester City. The Reds had won six games in a row against City at Anfield before last season’s draw. But Liverpool have not kept a clean sheet in their last eight matches – or in eight home games.

Liverpool Betting Tips

November is incredibly early to be talking about a title decider, but Liverpool’s lead at the top of the Premier League table will be nine points if they can beat Manchester City on Sunday. That means victory for the Reds would make them long odds-on favourites to end their 30-year wait to become champions of England once more.

This is obviously a huge fixture in the race for the crown and the bookmakers are struggling to separate the teams in the match result market, which is actually a big compliment to City considering Liverpool have a 100% record at home in the Premier League since the start of February. But even though City have a poor recent form at Anfield, with their last win there in any competition coming in May 2003, this could be the time to back them to finally make their mark.

One big reason for this is Liverpool’s struggle to keep clean sheets. They do not always get to play their first-choice line-up, as they will this weekend, but as an example in the last six weeks Jurgen Klopp’s team have conceded three goals at home to Red Bull Salzburg and five against Arsenal. City’s fearsome attack will surely be ultra-confident of causing the Liverpool defence plenty of problems – especially as they have won 14 of their last 15 domestic away games.

Liverpool vs Manchester

Arguably, Liverpool have been riding their luck of late. In their last 12 matches, the only teams they have beaten by more than one goal are MK Dons and Genk – and even champions cannot keep doing that indefinitely.

Admittedly it would put a different complexion on things if City goalkeeper Ederson was ruled out by the injury he suffered in midweek. But if the Brazilian is passed fit to play, his side’s greater creativity in midfield may just enable them to grind out a priceless victory.

Having said that, we are backing Liverpool to claim the three point at home on Sunday: Liverpool to Win at odds of 2.60 and a solid bet is Both Teams To Score and Liverpool To Win at odds of 4.33. If you are looking for a big winner try Salah, Mane and Sterling all Three To Score at enhanced odds of 21.00.

Manchester City Betting Tips

Manchester City have won 11 of their last 12 Premier League away games, losing only against Norwich in that run (2-3). The Citizens have bagged 30 goals in this period, netting an average of 2.5 goals per game.

Manchester City have only failed to score in six of their 62 Premier League away games under Pep Guardiola. Three of those games have been on Merseyside (2 vs Liverpool, 1 vs Everton) and the other three have been in London (vs Tottenham, Crystal Palace and Chelsea). Despite Liverpool being on the second longest ever unbeaten home run in Premier League history (45 games), the Reds have conceded in each of their last five at Anfield. They last had a longer run without a clean sheet at home in October 2014 (7 games).

A thigh injury forced their number one goalie off at half-time in the midweek draw at Atalanta and he has failed a fitness test ahead of the Anfield trip. David Silva looks unlikely to play due to a muscular injury and there are also doubts over Rodri (hamstring), Oleksandr Zinchenko, Leroy Sane and Aymeric Laporte.

Man City’s weaknesses in defence will add to the game – you can only see goals in this one. Pep Guardiola’s side will not sit back, but they will suffocate the service into the front three of Liverpool and try to nullify the full-backs.
